I work hard on my garden each year and the older I get the harder it is! I also love a good sale on fruits and veggies. Personally I preserve part of my harvest and sale finds by dehydrating and canning and then freeze the remainder. I expect those that I freeze to be home grown fresh when I defrost them. So nothing is more upsetting then expecting to pull a luscious piece of produce out of your freezer only to find a mashed, frost-bitten bit of mush!
