Since 2014 reports are that the incidents of bites from the brown recluse spider are increasing. This is one bite that you need to avoid by just about any means possible. But the doctors are seeing more of them every year and are asking that you please don’t try to treat it at home.

No one wants to end up with a bite like this one and this isn’t one that has become infected which is much worse. The first step to avoiding being bitten is to know more about the spider itself. How to identify it and the first symptoms of a bite.

I am sure there are one or two out there that might work…….but as the most common treatment to prevent spreading and infection is surgical intervention are you really sure you want to attempt to treat them yourself? If the medical community hasn’t found a remedy that works without surgically intervening I have no doubt they would of developed a cream, soak. or zap -yes there is a train of thought that believes electrically shocking yourself will cure the bite – check it out here  Spider victim’s choice: surgery or lawn mower or ? – for this bite to avoid having to preform surgery on their patients. However…. in a SHTF scenario I might be willing to try just about anything to avoid the possible ramifications of an infected bite!
