We can learn lessons from anything we do in our lives from our jobs, our educations, our vacations, our family and friends. The author of the featured article happens to work as a SWAT team member and has been able to take his work experiences and apply them to the bugging out process. Because his work experience involves strategic interactions with those that would do him and others harm we can apply his knowledge and advice to our own possible bugging out scenario.

This is not to say that everyone’s personal and professional experiences can’t be applied to survival skills because they indeed can be.
