I have often wondered if the time, effort or money to prepare and bury a survival cache. What will last best in it? How deep does it have to be to remain in tact? Will critters dig it up or will it freeze? Will the container or contents degrade?

The video below gives us some answers to those questions. It’s not nearly as difficult nor costly as I had assumed it would be.

If your cache could be buried for several years you might  want to test the water before drinking or have a water test to check the drinkability of water you locate after that is gone.
