Distilling Water at Home

As most of us know there was a water crisis in Ohio in 2014. After a few weeks Toledo residents were being told their water was safe once again. But news sources told us it was not over. The algae producing toxins in the water didn’t reach their peak for another month! Boiling the water didn’t  help in that particular situation and we were told doing so would only make the toxins stronger per concentrate. Distilling the water is what experts were recommending for household use. But in fact if it were my family even after they told me that the levels of toxin were now safe again… I personally would distill water for things that would touch the body like face washing and teeth brushing but continue to drink only bottled for as long as the supply held out. Then switch to the distilled until they were sure the issue had been contained and corrected. Perhaps a little over cautious but better safe and foolish, then foolish and sick.
