If you have ever had mice you already know the draw backs of the conventional snap trap. If you should experience rat infestation those traps are practically worthless. Personally rodents really creep me out and in all honesty I would have to be really desperate to use them as a protein source. But with a humane trap this would be an option should you desire. The big thing is to keep them out of your supplies and keeping your food stuff safe to eat. This type of trap not only does that but prevents the need to babysit the traps because they self-reset.
