I am a firm believer in if you must kill any creature then use all of the animal. No waste! This includes the hides. Tanning hides is a process you can hire done now in normal times but a hunter usually wants to do it themselves. Michael Shea in the 1st featured article found in Field and Stream, talks about doing so at home step by step. He is using his own bathtub but I would be more inclined to use a tub in my garden shed or garage then my personal bath tub! See the steps at this link
