Hunker Down Prepping Or Bugging Out

There are lots of reasons to hunker down in place and not bug out during a crisis. Pandemic where you would be safer at home and away from everyone who might have been infected. Civil unrest where being out and about can be taking your life in your hands. Or even financial collapse where there isn’t any where to run to. Many of us believe if running from the disaster isn’t possible why go? The majority of your supplies are at your primary location, you know the area and where supplies can be scavenged or traded, you know people or at least the general demographics of the area. If you are off grid, you have alternative power and water sources and if you are a prepper or homesteader you are as self sufficient right where you are as you possibly can be,
If you are trying to decide whether hunkering down or bugging out is the right choice for you and need some tips and direction see this link

HOWEVER, never ever be without a Plan B! Don’t be so sure and dedicated to hunkering down and so determined to protect your property and home that you don’t consider the option of bugging out if it is the safer thing to do. See Gray Wolf’s take on the choice.
