We have talked about civil unrest before and we will again. It used to be a more predictable crisis event and unless you were traveling through you knew what areas in your location to avoid during these high tension areas. That isn’t always true anymore. Now a riot can result from anything that people are upset about! From political rallies, sporting events, to jury decisions people have begun to react violently.

Not everyone is willing or able to avoid populated areas and they shouldn’t have to! If we give in to this type of blackmail. People have jobs to attend to, vacations to take, concerts to see and family to visit and this can take them into harms way. It can happen in small towns and local neighborhoods as well. It’s not just an urban issue anymore.

Our featured article talks about how three mom’s prepared for civil unrest while home alone with children, on a family vacation, and even for a simple date night out of town. See it linked below
