Practice makes perfect is an old saying and as with all old sayings they become old by being true. But one thing I actually never thought to actually practice is our bug out. It makes sense of course, what you see on the map and what it’s actually like out there could be two very different things. Perhaps you could do one leg of the trip at a time and make it a fun test for your family finding the right places to stop for the night or day depending upon your location and plan. Then the next time begin where you left off making it a fun annual trek until you know the route well.
