Having taken stock in all the disasters that we face in our daily lives, can take a toll on you. Prepper burnout is going to become even more common these days than in the past. In the past we all understood that Mother Nature has no bias, takes no holidays and has no borders. We were wise enough to recognize that meant that it could be us or our community featured on the news as the most recent disaster. And we prepared for it.

However, now days especially in western countries we also realize that Mother Nature isn’t the only cause of disaster out there and that we are the targets of choice for manmade disasters. Our enemy is often unrecognizable. This alone can be a huge stressor. How many times have you heard the families and neighbors of a mass shooter, or terrorist say they are shocked to learn they could do such a thing? The enemy doesn’t come with a sign or warning that says they could strike at any minute.

The current political climate in the United States is one of discontent and divided opinions which has reared its ugly head in the form of protests, verbal and physical attacks on each other.

It can all become a bit overwhelming particularly to the new prepper. Our friends across the pond are also experiencing the stress and strife of the current need for longer term preparations Our featured article is from the UK Prepper’s Guide detailing prepper burnout and tips for prevention.
