Almost everyone agrees that the lone wolf survivor has a lot more to overcome to survive than does a group. A prepper groups dynamics can throw a wrench into the works or make a well oiled survival machine.

You may already have a planned group made up of family and friends but are likely unorganized and truly not action ready on a moments notice. With this in mind. Should you take that group and form an organized group of your own or take that group and join one already together?

If you should decide to form our own,  things that may need to be considered other than what is featured in the linked article below are:

  • Who is the most likely to be a successful leader?
  • Do you choose your membership by skill level or attitude and develop the skills that are beneficial for the group?
  • What to do about those that are family or otherwise close who are unable to meet expectations?
  • Do you actually have enough time, energy and motivation to do the  training, preparing, and organizing of a group while trying to live your life and support your own family today?
  • How would you deal with life issues among your group as in… disability, aging, newborns, personality conflicts, etc…?

If you decide to join a group already in progress, things to consider are also:

  • Can you work with or for those that are already members?
  • Does this group represent your morale ethical values?
  • Will this group teach you those skills you may be lacking?
  • Does the group leader have the skills necessary ability to lead during a time of crisis?
  • How would the group you join propose to deal with life issues… disability, aging, newborns, personality conflicts, etc…? Especially important if you keep in mind,, that you could be the one that becomes injured and or disabled.
