September 17th. 2014 the “King Fire” wildfire was threatening 1,600 homes and had displaced 2,100 residents in the Lake Tahoe, Nevada/California region of the United Sates and this was at only its 5th day of burning. It was the largest of 11 major fires then burning in Nevada/California alone.

Those details are of only one state, one country, and from only one major fire. With the drought throughout the western United States, it is unlikely it will be the only large fire that will affect US residents in coming years. These fires occur all over the world and have displaced and killed thousands all globally. Spain, Italy, Greece, and Chile are just a few of the other countries that have had severe wildfires in the last couple of years.

Reduce your chances of property loss, injury or even death by preparing prior to the first flame. Quoting from the featured article “if it’s predictable, it’s preventable!”  Information on preparing for wildfire can be found at the link below
