Primitive Fire Thong

First used in Southeast Asia the fire thong is a primitive method of fire making.

Rattan is the preferred material to use as it has both the flexibility and strength for the job. You never know what you could have or not have in a disaster scenario so learning as many primitive methods as you can master is wise. I find these easier than the more traditional bow drill used in many survival situations!
