As the world around us becomes more and more chaotic, this topic becomes more relevant.

Many Americans are quick to say, “No security tradeoff is worth it”. While there are other countries where they have made some liberty concessions and it has worked well for them. Which immediately brings into any conversation regarding this exchange of power to those countries which allowed fear to totally usurp their individual liberties and none of us want that!

Where do we draw the line? Can the trend be stopped at that line if allowed in the first place? How do you find that line with the government and the people each pulling on opposite sides of the rope? Are there concessions we should consider in the best interests of the community? Are any concessions really to the best interest of any entire community? These are just the questions I ask myself as I sometimes find myself torn between towing that line and the fear of governmental interference in our lives growing too powerful.
