I get asked all the time where do I get all the funds we need to create the suggested safe stockpile of food and supplies? How did you do it? As a single parent with a lower middle class income I did it! I used a method very similar to the one presented in our featured article today from Family Survival Planning linked below. As the economy tanks, and yes you all know that it is and not just for the middle class.

It becomes harder and harder to find extra funds. For single parents and one income families of all sorts it seems impossible. I know we all already spend more than we wish we had to on the basics. I used sales and the one is none philosophy when first building my pantry more as a poverty prepper than a survival prepper.  I knew if for any reason I became without an income, my kids and I still needed to eat! Now we have an actual formula for building your storage. I hope it can help you make your pantry a survival item rather than a money pit!
