Sometimes honestly some of the myths seem to make sense, right? A cactus must have some moisture to survive, getting the snake venom out is the first thing that comes to my mind if I am bitten by a poisonous snake. But that they do seem to make some sense is what makes them so dangerous.

I admit if I am lost in the desert and desperate dang right, I will open up a cactus and start squeezing. However, walking off into the desert assuming you will be ok because you can see lots of cactus will get you dead. There were several articles out there debunking survival myths but this one seemed to cover those and add a few more. Check them out, knowing what is myth and what is fact could save your life.
