Your Feet – The Foundation of Survival

Like any good structure a sturdy strong foundation is imperative. Your body is such a structure. In any survival situation caring for your feet is a major factor to making it through the disaster. Whether it is be because you are walking long distances, the terrain is difficult or wet, or you’re climbing out of or over debris protecting your feet is absolutely necessary.

A good pair of boots the best piece of survival gear you can invest in. Our feet are how we travel and are the source, along with our legs and body structure, of our ability to be ambulatory. With out them we aren’t going anywhere. As obvious as that would seem to be, I don’t think most people are prepared. Ask any woman who has spent the day in a pair of uncomfortable high heels how her feet affect her ability to function and she will tell you dramatically!

Choosing the best pair of boots for your specific foot type is unavoidable. Well worth the investment even if not during a crisis. An ill fitting pair of boots can ruin your hiking, camping, or hunting trip and effect your quality of life negatively for some time afterwards as well.

Take care of your feet and they will take care of you is the mantra of many a soldier! For information on choosing the right pair for you see the article below
