There are a lot of concerns during normal times about the availability of ammunition. What is it going to be like after a long term SHTF event? Will it come to a time when you are hunting for dinner and not have enough ammo to do so? Or could there become a time when you have to make the dreaded choice of saving the ammunition you do have for defending your location and family and getting out there and hunting with that ammo? If the event is serious enough or lasts long enough things like bullets will run out and there won’t be factories making any more!

One solution is to recycle the casings you do have. Read a bit about that option at the following link

Please, please if you decide to MIY ammunition ensure that you follow all the safety precautions that are listed with the equipment and supplies that you get to do so. Don’t set up your reloading bench in an area that is for shared usage with other projects, make sure it’s in an area without distractions, that it is temperature controlled, and out of the reach of children and pets.  Always remember you are dealing with an explosive and treat this project as you would any dangerous undertaking. See the basic instructions for reloading your own casings at the link below
