FREE Outhouse Plans

I don’t know about you. But if I have to live off grid for any amount of time, I want an outhouse! Not just for the nicety of privacy either.
If you are in the wild, you don’t want to be caught with your pants down by a predatory animals or even people who might wander in to your area. There are weather considerations, especially if you are in an area where the temperatures drop below zero. Even if it is just raining digging a hole and sitting in the rain then recovering isn’t a pleasant thought. It could be next to impossible if the ground is frozen.. If you have a large enough encampment where “hiding” isn’t an issue the outhouse can also serve to help prevent the spread of illness via poor hygiene practices.
There is more to building an outhouse than simply digging a hole and building an enclosure. There are things to consider like ventilation, proximity to the other structures, and the water tables in your area.
