You might not consider the hand held catapult as a weapon but remember the story of David and Goliath! It is an ancient weapon that can still get the job done. I call it the grown up version of the kid’s sling shot.

Not as simple as a child’s sling shot, it is a bit more complicated and takes more practice than does a firearm. But it is legal in most countries for hunting even in some of  those that don’t allow private gun ownership. If you just enjoy the challenge or have concerns about the availability of ammunition after a major SHTF event this should be your new hobby! Of course purchased heavy balls are preferred ammo but any stone will suffice if necessary. Also more stealthy for times when you might not want to scare off other game or alert other survivors of your location.
