You know who this is in your life. No need to deny, we all have one. Perhaps not this obvious but he or she is there. They either expect that someone else will take care of them or they are only willing to do enough to get by and hope that the government or the kindness of strangers will take care of the rest. Yep, today’s freeloader.

But this type of freeloader isn’t truly what this post is about. It’s about that ”someday’ freeloader. You are planning, saving, spending, and preparing for tomorrow and the worst that it could bring. They are taking care of today, because they are sure of one of two things. First that the disaster that turns their world upside down isn’t going to come and second if it does, someone namely you will step in and save them. They aren’t lazy, they aren’t ignorant, although they may be overwhelmed or afraid.

These are the folks who may show up on your doorstep if or when disaster strikes if they are able to get there with nothing in hand but prepared to help anyway, they can. Much harder to turn away then the dude who slept on your couch and partied all night during your college years. So how do you both tell them not to come to your home when it falls apart and encourage them to prepare for themselves? It’s the question asked on all survival sites. Surely there is a better way and answer then simply saying NO.

The Survival Blog gives us answers to that! See them at the link below
