I have been freezing dairy products for future use for years. I have also dehydrated several products. I found with at one time 5 teenage mouths to feed, that a gallon of milk was not going to last more than a few days and didn’t want to spend days standing in line at the grocery store to get more, so I bought on sale and in bulk.
