Sometimes we get so caught up in the bulk of our supplies that we overlook some of the complexities of food and water storage.

I am in the mist of reorganizing my pantry and supply area because I have recently noted some duplicated purchases that were not necessary, some purchases were not made based on my belief that I had enough stored already, and I even found a couple of cans of things that I forgot to put into rotation! Errors like these are easy enough to fix but quoting the author of the featured article “there will be no do overs in a true crisis” If I find after the fact that I am missing a key item, that particular recipe will either be left out of our meal rotation, or an adequate substitute will have to found.

Making meals my family is accustomed to and enjoys is important to me for not only familiarity and comfort from the familiarity, but these meals have been planned out with nutrition in mind.
