We all know that thrift stores and garage sales can be wonderful hunting grounds for preparedness goods. There are a number of other locations that can also provide a plethora of smart finds. You can purchase the majority of what you need in just about any store. But when keeping to a budget these locations are particularly helpful. Because most of the population is looking for the newer, more convenient, shinier, and most high tech of all the items out there. Once that is obtained they donate, sell or give away those previous models. This is when the prepper swoops in and snags a deal! We know when the grid is down that lovey technical shiny new model will be sitting idle while that older version that we picked up just in case….. well we are getting every cent of our money’s worth from it!
