I have actually found that the numbers of women preparing are quickly catching up in what used to be a male dominated activity. There are a number of reasons for this trend, including the awareness that social instability is coming and will hit females just as hard if not harder than their male counterparts. In part due to the social norms dividing women and men and their extra curricular activities from the time they are children, to the larger numbers of single parents who are alone in their responsibility for providing in a crisis for their children.

Child support paid to the custodial parent whether it be the male or female parent, will be worthless in a major long term SHTF event. It will become a matter of skills and knowledge. Having bush craft and survival abilities will be the deciding factor when or if that time comes.

Additional information on why more women are preparing for social instability can be found at our featured links below from Before it’s News and Prepper Broadcasting. Written for women but applicable for all who want to be prepared.
