What is Prepping and Who are These People?

Outsiders often just don’t understand our community. Who can blame them with our strange language, abbreviations, and too often poor representation in public forums? Television shows like Doomsday Preppers inferred that they are representative of us and our community. They so aren’t! But much of the public see us as machine gun toting Rambo wanna be’s running around in the woods shooting at anything and perhaps in a SHTF situation anyone that moves. However, as helpless as themselves in a non world ending disaster.
We all know that just isn’t an accurate reflection of who and what we are and do. For those of you who don’t know what prepping is or understand who we really are the featured blog from Prepare with Foresight will explain and for those of you who are well aware of what prepping is, could help you explain it to others and get them on board! The more that survive on their own the local disasters, the fewer resources we will expend assisting and the more that survive a major or long term scenario the better off we all are.
