3 Types of Bags to Consider- infograph

There are a number of different terms to describe BOBs (bug out bags) and that is because they are intended for different types of emergency scenarios. One is considered an EDC (everyday carry

) These items are usually small enough and basic enough to carry in your pockets or purse. The majority don’t actually pack a bag for their EDC.

Then there is the get home bag or vehicle bag which I happen to call an accident bag. This bag ordinarily stays in your vehicle.

Many preppers then have what they call a BOB (Bug out Bag) which is intended for leaving your home base during an emergency with the intend of hopefully returning when the crisis is over. Most people keep this bag in their home and at the ready.

The next level is the INCH bag (I’m never coming home) Intended for long term disaster and the assumption that once you leave that location it is likely you will never return. This bag is often combined with the bug out bag to be taken on the run.

The infograph below gives a brief description of some of the bags we talk about on prepping sites and the items that the author believes should be included.
